Marie har gennem årene varetaget en lang række centrale roller på Fastaval, blandt andet som scenarieansvarlig, Ottodommer, spillederansvarlig, general, spilstartsansvarlig, forfatter, ressourceperson for nye hovedarrangører og hovedarrangør tre gange. I alle disse roller har hun bidraget med overblik, stor arbejdskapacitet og en bemærkelsesværdig evne til at få både mennesker og processer til at lykkes.

Karen er Fastaval for rigtig mange af os. Hun er et af de mennesker, der ikke bare elsker Fastaval, men som helt oprigtigt lever og brænder for det – og som i årevis har lagt en enorm del af sig selv i at gøre vores fælles con endnu vildere.
Karen har haft mange roller på Fastaval, men uanset hvilken cap hun har båret, har hun altid været en, der gik forrest. Hun har modet til at tage de svære samtaler, kæmpe for det, hun tror på, og arbejde for et Fastaval, der både er stærkere, tryggere og mere inkluderende. På Fastaval har Mads haft et væld af roller: general, infonaut, brætspilsdesigner, el-ansvarlig, Ottostatuettestøber og meget mere. Med få ejendele og frygtelige tab i bagagen vandrer rollerne nordpå i et spinkelt håb om en ny begyndelse i landet bag bjergene. Beskrivelserne af traumer og drømme gipper i hjertet, og hver eneste ejendel, som mistes, føles som en frygtelig sorg. Og selvom rollerne er fremmede, når de mødes, bliver de hinandens eneste chance for at klare rejsen. Her er sammenhold og respekt den eneste vej mod værdighed i en verden, der ellers har vendt dem ryggen.

Relationer og gruppedynamik bliver drivende for spillet, mens skolegårdens modbydeligheder trænger ind i det ellers så trygge frirum.
