A group of pioneers once set out for the mountains with the aim of creating a new society, bringing only the absolute necessities, as well as their faith and dreams. While having the best intentions, the pioneers couldn’t succeed. Life in the mountains turned out to be hard and demanding. One by one, the snow embraced them, giving them silence, peace, tranquillity and light.
The players are physically guided through feelings like anger, frustration, sorrow, and fear – and the feelings of peace and closeness following their deaths. Music by Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Johnny Cash sets the mood.

Engang drog en flok pionerer op i bjergene for at skabe et nyt samfund.
Med sig havde de kun det mest nødvendige, samt håb og drømme om en ny og bedre tilværelse end den, de hidtil havde kendt.
Men livet i bjergene var hårdt og barskt. Her fandt de kun kulde og mørke, skænderier og en daglig kamp mod naturen og mod hinanden.
De var i sneens land. Hårdt og koldt, lyst og blødt.
De var gået for langt og kunne ikke længere finde deres vej tilbage.
Èn efter en kom sneen og tog dem i sin bløde favn og gav dem ro og fred og hvile. Stilhed og lys.
Handling:
Spillet handler om at opleve de følelser af frustration, vrede, sorg, skuffelse og frygt, som nybyggerne gennemlever i deres kamp for at overleve - og derefter følelsen af en altomfavnende kærlighed og nærhed, som følger med døden i sneen.
