In the year 1804, the inhabitants of the village of Hammersmith were much alarmed by a nocturnal spectral appearance; which, for a considerable time, eluded detection or discovery.
In the course of this unfortunate affair, two innocent persons met with an untimely death.
Now twenty years on the hysteria about the spectral form is back, striking doom upon us all.
In a time of technological progress in Hammersmith such as the railway and a steel bridge across the Thames, why are we still haunted by old ghosts?
