Description
Out of time is a coop time travel game with simple rules. The library is on fire and only you can help! Enter the world of time traveling insanity, save the precious books and leave everything as you found it...on fire that is.
Oh...and please try not to destroy the universe while you're at it.
Presentation
The rules are fairly simple. Each turn you have two possible actions and two possible ways to move. On top of that you cast spells to help you and exchange books with other players in your current time. That's it. The complexity arises when the players try to solve the challenges ahead of them. Challenges that require them to use their resources, magic and time traveling sensibly.
The time travel mechanics are of course central to the game and are approximately equivalent to the mechanics known from Harry Potter. That is, anything observed is unchangeable but everything else can be changed. This means the players have to make sure that everything they observe actually happen which may lead them to having to place the same book back twice at the same time or other strange and challenging situations.
Remember a paradox is only a paradox until you fix it and nothing lasts forever..not even time travel.

Out of time er et kooperativt tidsrejsespil med simple regler. Et bibliotek står i flammer, kun I kan hjælpe! Tag med ind tidsrejsernes galskab, red de uvurderlige bøger og sørg for at efterlade biblioteket som i fandt det – altså brændende.
Andet…? Nåh ja, prøv også at undgå at udslette universet alt for meget undervejs, tak.
Foromtale
Reglerne er ret simple, du skal hver tur lave en af to mulige handlinger, og bevæge dig på af en to mulige måder. Derudover må du kaste formularer og bytte bøger med andre spillere i samme tid. That’s it. Kompleksiteten opstår i spillernes forsøg på at løse den udfordring de står overfor. En udfordring som kræver de bruger deres ressourcer, magi og tidsrejser fornuftigt.
Mekanik for tidsrejser er naturligvis i centrum. Tidsrejsereglerne svarer langt hen ad vejen til Harry Potter: Fangen fra Azkaban. Dvs. at hvad er set er sket, men alt andet kan ændres. Så spillerne skal sørge for at alt der er set sker. Undervejs kan dette setup føre til at spillerne f.eks. får til opgave at efterlade den samme ting flere gange. Det giver en masse spøjse og hjerneudfordrende situationer.
Husk at paradokser er ok, bare ikke til sidst. Samt at selv tidsrejser ikke varer evigt.

The game is unique in its time-travel mechanic, which allows players to travel back and forth in time and change their actions to solve time paradoxes and prevent them from happening. Does it sound complicated? It is! The mechanic gives players a (hollow) feeling of having control over their destiny, while they run through time and create even more time paradoxes. Out of Time manages to create a gaming experience that challenges players' intellect and thinking in a whole new way.
