Description

Even the immortal Vampires of the Inner Council notice the passing of time. Technology and attitudes have changed so dramatically from their living days, that these ancient monsters can no longer understand, let alone control, the world around them.

A radical experiment has been proposed: A small group of young and inexperienced vampires have been given control of a small town in the mid-western United States. They will be responsible for controlling the mortals in their herd. They will protect the Masquerade. They will keep the Traditions. And if they fail, they will die and the town will be wiped from the face of the earth.

Can you and your fellow High Generation, recently embraced Kindred, meet your greatest challenge ever? If you succeed the glory and the power of the ages will be yours. If you fail... you will be dust.

A small town in the midwest... Usually the vampire community has much larger plans, but this is a social experiment... Even the immortal Vampires of the Inner Council notice the passing of time. Technology and attitudes have changed so dramatically from their living days, that these ancient monsters can no longer understand – let alone control – the world around them.

Convinced by some of the recently embraced Kindred that they are missing out with their lack of understanding and distrust of technology, a few of the leaders in the Camarilla have convinced the others to endorse this project. And so, this radical experiment has been proposed: A small group of young and inexperienced vampires have been given control of a small town in the mid-western United States. They will be responsible for controlling the mortals in their herd. They will protect the Masquerade. They will keep the Traditions. And if they fail, they will die and the town will be wiped from the face of the earth.

The Toreador have invested heavily in this project and have granted the title of prince to one of their own. All the rules of the Camarilla are to be followed and the elders will be making regular "inspections" of the project.

For nearly a year, everything was going great. But recently things have been happening which may indicate a serious breach of the Masquerade. In the last few months, rumours have been circulating around the town. There has been a recent rise in Church attendance and the services held by the local "fire-and-brimstone" preacher have featured Sermons on "Evil walking the streets among us". Influences are drying up and contacts are vanishing. To top it all off, in the last week, four kindred were killed in their havens, staked and burned during daylight hours!

People in this town obviously know that something strange is happening. Can you redeem yourselves in the eyes of the Camarilla Elders? Can you save the experiment and prove that the younger generations have an understanding of today's world that the elders may lack? Can you show the elders that you deserve a voice in their councils? Can you and your fellow High Generation, recently embraced Kindred meet your greatest challenge ever? If you succeed the glory and the power of the ages will be yours. If you fail … you will be dust.
