You are the final handful of workers to leave the decommissioned ore refinery station Fair Harbour, your meagre severance pay securing you a place on the WY contracted commercial transport ship USCSS Grace O’ Malley, the last ride home before the lights turn off. Stirring from Cryo Sleep, an unusually aggressive bout of hyper sleep sickness churning in your abdomen gives way to the same confusion you see in the eyes of the other awakening passengers around you; the Cryo Pods containing the ship’s crew lie open and empty, the lockers provided for your personal effects ransacked. A faint, sweet metallic smell drifts from the corridor that leads out and deeper into the vessel, the padded and stained walls beyond the Cryo Suite thick with cold, lilting shadows......................
