Beskrivelse
What happens when grief unmoors you from time itself?
In a small coastal community - the kind of place where if you’re not someone’s family or friend, you’re their colleague, babysitter, or old flame - someone is missing. He took his boat out, and never returned. Not confirmed dead, not found anywhere: simply missing.
Those left behind find themselves travelling through time in different and unexpected ways: hurtling into the future, trapped in the same day, drawn further and further into the past. Certainty and stability doesn’t come easy, and they must find what solace they can in the moments their timeline overlaps with others’.
Kaleidoscope is a larp about how grief without closure feels like time-travel: milestones come and ago, yet somehow change never comes. It’s also about the attempt to communicate and connect with those around you, when it feels like you’re in overlapping yet still different worlds, fractured by unclosed grief.
Play alternates between a large group scene where the players revisit the day of the disappearance, and tandem scenes in smaller groups where (due to their differing ways of travelling through time) players combine in different pairings/trios and leave/receive messages from those in other times.
