You’ve heard this story before. A monarch sends their child to grow up in a castle surrounded by danger. The one strong enough to rescue them, can marry them. However, this time no one ever returned with the heir and now the King has died. It’s time for the heir to come home.
The solution that the palace staff have decided on is to pretend the king is still alive, send adventurers and hope the wheels of intrigue don’t catch up, and, hopefully, secure a smooth transfer of power. Your group have been requested for the job. If you pull this off, you’ll be legends.
