"Have you ever slept under a thatched roof,
Have you seen the sun rise there?"

Thatch is one of the oldest building materials that can be used to make a house. Even in ancient Mesopotamia, people built houses with thatch. In the Egyptian religion, the house in which the deceased would spend eternity in the afterlife waited for them in the middle of a reed bed.

What kind of reeds have we been given from the past? What can we build from it? What will the house we share become our home?
This home is the space of the modern family (XX-XI century) whose history we are creating through the play. As they grapple with the challenges of fate.

The game is partly based on the map-drawing story game "House of Reeds", with event cards providing the variety of the plot, i.e. fate. You can shape and colour the characters as you play the game.
