St Petersburg 1894:
The Masquerade is played out nightly in the court of Nicholas II, the last Tsar of Russia. But all masquerades must end; blood and madness have come to visit St Petersburg, Members of the aristocracy in Russia are being afflicted with a frenzied dementia; duels are on the rise, and they demand that the Tsar place the peasants under the heel of serfdom once more.
More troubling though are the mortals who claim to have drunk from the font of Dionysus and begin to see the Kindred’s masks for what they are. In the background a carnival’s music begins to change the nature of the Masquerade.
