In this game, the characters are five-year-old children in a nursery and the facilitators are their carers. This is the time of day when they settle down for their daily nap. The children eat their milk and cookies, hear a bedtime story and a lullaby, then settle down to sleep. At the end of the larp they wake up. The larp finishes when each child leaves the game area. An optional debrief is available after the game.

This is a soft and comforting style game, where nothing happens and the players simply inhabit the characters and live the experience of being a sleepy five-year-old. It is not a game about social interaction between children. It is also not a game with any twists; what you see is what you get. This really is a game about going to sleep as a five-year-old.


This is the first playtest of an experimental game. We are aware that it will not be to everyone's taste, and that some people may not even consider it a "real" game or a larp as it has no plots and very minimal interaction with the other characters. We, the writers, are not yet fully sure if it will work either. We welcome anyone who is prepared to give it a go with a positive attitude.

No pre-gaming reading material required. The players are welcome to read the game instructions (which are meant for the GMs) as this is an open game and there are no secrets. However, there is no requirement to read anything.

Costuming is optional. Ideally some sort of nightwear would be great(eg a onesie) but general comfy clothing will suffice. Bringing a cuddly toy would be great but is not required. We will provide yoga mats and blankets.

Dietary requirements: Milk and cookies will be provided. We will ask about food allergies and cater for them. It is not obligatory to eat or drink anything.
