Beskrivelse
The last meeting of an esoteric literature society. The strange death of a popular upperclassman. A pair of mysterious transfer students.
Tremiere Academy is an all-girls boarding school in Saint-Alban-Leysse - an elite institute for rich kids from Lyon and Geneva to get a bit of mountain air at the foothills of Mont Blanc. It is late May, and graduation is just around the corner. It has been a cold spring, following a cold winter, has been…a weird semester for most of you. This January, just before the end of the winter holiday, Helene, a popular 12th grader, was found floating dead in Leysse river –she had gone out exploring alone and accidentally fallen through the ice...or so the official story goes. Helene was a member of the prestigious Prometheus Club – a secret society of notoriously bohemian, erudite, and delinquent upperclassmen, which has been the talk of the whole school. No one knows what happens at their esoteric meetings – and, following the death of one of their members, they have been indefinitely on hiatus. But now, they are convening for one last meeting – and have invited three lucky underclassmen as the guests or honor. How will the tangled web of intrigue, lies, and forbidden feelings come unraveled in this last thrilling installment of Lilac Chaconne?
Lilac Chaconne is a rules-light parlor LARP for 6 players which simulates the denouement scene of a nonexistent 1970s yuri manga. It is set at an all-girl’s boarding school in France in 1911, but in terms of social morass, in Japan in 1976. The vibe will draw heavily on the works of Moto Hagio (Heart of Thomas, The Poe Clan), Keiko Takemiya (In The Sunroom, Kaze to Ki no Uta) and Riyoko Ikeda (Oniisama e), and secondarily on The Secret History by Donna Tartt and the whole Dark Academia thing. The general tone will be Romantic, Soapy, Melodramatic, and (while a little less bury-your-gays than the source material) largely Tragic.
