Interstellar transit is expensive, in part because no expense is spared to make it the safest form of transit ever invented. When something does go wrong, it is almost always just as one enters or exits hyperspace in an inhabited system, leaving plenty of time for rescue ships to reach survivors. Sometimes, things go wrong in deep space far away from help. In these tragic instances, options are limited.
This is a game about choices when none of the available choices are desirable. This is a game about reaching for life beyond all hope, about balancing tragedy against opportunity, and about facing one's death. The game poses a problem to solve, but the focus of the game is not on the solution, but on the experience the problem offers us. The game will begin and end with a short workshop with about 2 hours of play in the middle.
Those who would not like to struggle with fears of death and dying, both of themselves and those close to them, should consider carefully if this is their game. There are also some adult themes: potential marriage infidelity, loss of loved ones previous to the game, and questions about the relative value of human lives. Players should be age 18 or older unless agreed upon by the GM prior to registration.
