Description
In this experimental LARP the players once more had to create a lot of context to make this LARP work. The characterization of the roles according to the Big Five typology presented them some sort of starting point. Interestingly, almost all the players took the character traits and created from them some sort of background story for their characters. Since the LARP was very demanding for the participants, it was difficult to focus on playing out the Big Five traits. In the review process it became clear, what is truly essential for a LARP: redundant social connections. That means, having friends and foes in abundance and no single point of failure. Whatever method the game designer uses to create characters and worlds, it will be all for naught, if he/she fails to connect the characters in a redundant social network. Only then can a LARP bring on its full potential.
