Dear Mom, I steal the last moments before lying down to write this letter. Today I learned I will soon get leave to come see you. Don't tell Dad, I want it to be a surprise. I can't wait to hug all of you, and to finally meet... The siren's blare rips through the silent night. Prepare for assault!

In Letters from the front, players take on the role of soldiers on two opposing sides of an exhausting trench war. Assault after assault, the players of fallen soldiers step back into the fray as new recruits in the enemy trench, escalating up to a devastating final confrontation. What will be left of the dead?
