Description

“Hey team, just wanted to let you know that after much thought, I decided I need to take a step back from the band. I have some things to take care of in the next few days and it will be difficult to meet, so I wanted to inform you asap so that you can start looking for a replacement for the upcoming tour. Really sorry for the strain folks, be in touch soon, Jo”.

In this game, players assume the roles of members of a music band (and potentially sidekicks like romantic partners, family members, managers, producers, sound engineers etc). The game is their first team conversation after one of the members announced they are leaving the band. In this talk, the band members might want to express their feelings, learn more about the leaving member’s situation and decision, complain or try to change their mind, or discuss technical problems that need to be resolved. The multifaceted relationship between band members (friendly, collaborative, creative, professional, sometimes romantic or family) creates a complicated mosaic. Through the exploration of their characters' behavior, players are invited to reflect upon the extent to which we prioritize our goals and tend to neglect other peoples’ needs, as well as the way we express our needs and emotions.
