Description

A group of Jedi trainees run away from their Temple with a stolen shuttle in pursuit of truth, freedom, and lightsabers. The Gathering is a 4-hour boffer-lite LARP for 9 players set in the Star Wars universe prior to the start of the Clone Wars. It will include themes of adventure, hard decisions, facing your fears, and impractical engineering for the sake of drama. No Star Wars lore is required to play, but having a vague idea of the tropes and archetypes of the universe will be helpful.

This game will lean heavily on theater-style Role Play. Boffer combat will be minimal but will involve nerf guns and (boffer safe, low-tech) lightsabers.

Participant communications
Players will receive a casting survey shortly after sign up. Once cast, players will receive an initial one-page character sheet via Google Docs, followed by a longer version a few weeks prior to the game which is expected to be 2-3 pages long. New content will be setting and plot-specific information.

Content warnings
Content in game will include: causing the death of others, and (offscreen) child endangerment. Content in backstories will include: child slavery, orphaned or abandoned children, and taking children away from their homes.
