Description
STRANGE THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN THE VILLAGE OF DECEMBER
A Grey Man appears, children disappear and a young woman claims to be pregnant by her dead fiancé. This starter adventure is designed to be played at conventions in four hours or less, and can be used as a campaign starter, to introduce a group of new characters to one another.
December is a small hamlet to the west of Upsala, which has seen a good deal of change in recent years. Nestled in the lower slopes of a southern valley, the village had, for the last century, prospered farming a mix of sheep and grain. But the arrival of the railway, further down the valley, has changed the nature of the village. There is more profit in producing milk, for quick transport by rail to the city. Profit enough, indeed, to have seen the flocks of sheep replaced by herds of cows, a new dairy built at the bottom the village, and feed-grain and flour brought in on the train. The old mill at the top of the village has fallen into disrepair.
Now three letters call investigators to the village. Has a village daughter really been impregnated by a demon? what has happened to the Doctor's childen and who is The Grey Man?
