Elder gods of Symbaroum

RPG system: D&D 5th Edition

Queen Korinthia's edict since the end of the wars was to go forth and go north and tame the wild lands for the chosen people. And so, for several years, steady caravans of migrants have settled the lands bordering the great forest of Symbaroum. And from within that forest, many a great treasure has been found, though the native inhabitants, especially those obnoxious elves, have warned the humans that our days of looting would soon come to an end. But we have The Queen's blessing and the security of arms, yes, very many well trained arms-men. Yet, there are traitors amongst the scholars of Korinthia, those who spread the propaganda of the elves. In the ivory towers of Yndarros, the much maligned but still legendary scholar, Sir Peterson, warns of "The elder gods of Symbaroum awakening". No, we cannot let such thoughts eat away at the adventurous spirit of Queen Korintia's people. Hence, The Ordo Magica has selected you and equipped you appropriately to venture forth and establish that no such elder gods exist, just folktales of those forest savages told to scare humanity away Try to come back alive, for your deaths will just give credence to the rumours.
