The player characters are the officers of the mercenary company participating in MercCon. The con is held on the see-saw Highport space station, floating in orbit around the scorching planet Damaxuri. The event is an opportunity for the soldiers to relax while the officers network and replenish the company's arsenal. However, an uninvited surprise guest derails the event into chaos, which is worse when every guest is both heavily armed and trigger sensitive.

Planet Mercenary serves up humorous futuristic military action in the world of the webcomic Schlock Mercenary. However, prior knowledge of the comic is only an advantage, not an entry requirement. The most important thing is to know how to throw yourself into an adventure where the spirit is light, the humor is hilarious and the mood is high.
