In The Pitchwood ambush, the brave members of the Mouse Guild set out to find out who or who are robbing travelers in the Pihkametsä. The summer has been long and hot, but a dark shadow hangs over the good harvest and beautiful days: nine of the residents of Salavalinna's mouse village have already disappeared. And there's already a hint of an approaching violent storm in the air...

The Pitchwood ambush takes place in the same village and its nearby forest as the summer 2017 Ropecon game "Murder by stealth", but knowledge of the events of the previous game is not required. The game uses the Mouse Guard system (that is, all the characters are mice) in a slightly lighter way, and both experienced and beginner players are welcome. Previous experience with the system is not required, the rules are explained at first. Finished characters.

Pihkametsän väijytyksessä urheat Hiirikillan jäsenet lähtevät matkaan selvittääkseen sen, kuka tai ketkä Pihkametsässä ryöstävät matkalaisia. Kesä on ollut pitkä ja helteinen, mutta hyvän sadon ja kauniiden päivien yllä häilyy synkkä varjo: jo yhdeksän Salavalinnan hiirikylän asukkaista on kadonnut. Ja ilmassa on jo aavistus lähestyvästä rajumyrskystä...

Pihkametsän väijytys sijoittuu samaan kylään ja sen lähimetsään kuin kesän 2017 Ropecon-peli "Murha salavalinnassa", mutta tietoa aiemman pelin tapahtumista ei vaadita. Pelissä hyödynnetään Mouse Guard -systeemiä (eli kaikki hahmot ovat hiiriä) hieman kevennetysti ja mukaan ovat tervetulleita sekä kokeneet että aloittelevat pelaajat. Aiempaa kokemusta systeemistä ei vaadita, säännöt selitetään aluksi. Valmiit hahmot.
