The Perseids – that was the name of the meteor shower in August. Before people understood the catastrophic effect the greenhouse gases have on Earth’s climate, before the first mass extinctions, but also before the first orbital mirrors, which stopped the rising temperatures at the last minute, before the point of no return.

But the Perseids – this cloud was also the origin of the junk that knocked out mirror OCM-18. The mirrors are alright, but the control system got damaged, so the angle is just sli-iightly wrong and sunrays with all the infrared that’s going to be absorbed in the atmosphere are going to reach Earth. Where, thanks to the idiotic inaction of previous generations, only very little is needed to destroy the carefully maintained balance and restart the chain of disasters.

Which means that YOU need to suit up and fly to the orbit to fix this mess.
