Description
At the Annual Regional Serial Killer’s Convention (a highly secretive event, tickets coveted by the community) the primary rule is not to stab where we eat. To the shock of all, someone has broken this rule. You must uncover the killer among killers before the hotel kicks you all out: in three hours or less. Surely all will set aside their differences and pool their resources to unmask the real Villain.
Players will spend three hours using mechanics blatantly ripped off from Clue to investigate who in their number was the killer’s-killer at this highly-aesthetic one-evening LARP. You’re all serial killers, but one of you has broken the biggest rule of your clandestine fraternity - words that here mean: someone has fucked up and needs punished.
Will you be the one to uncover the mystery and dole out the punishment? Or did you, perhaps, commit the crime?
Drawing from the artistic styling of Wes Anderson, Lemony Snicket, Martin McDonough, The Usual Suspects (Film), The Decemberists, Goblin and Mario Bava, and Shamelessly ripping off the mechanics of Clue, this 3 hour event promises to be a fun and thrilling event.
The primary focus of this game is to evoke a theme, mood, and overall visual vibe. The story and mechanics are a complete secondary to this aesthetic. Please use the above listed “artistic directors” as your guiding values. Each player will be assigned a character to fit the world, and is expected to focus heavily on portraying this character in a way that reflects the artistic direction.
