Seven creatures inspired by Swedish folk lore.

“Utbörding” and “Myling” are both beings rooted in the folk lore around birth and infants in Sweden. Guenna and Grylla are genius loci from my home village of Älvdalen. From the same place: “Böbö” or “Böbökall” – a simple bogeyman – and “Skaurkalln” – a local name for thunderstorms in the vein of Jack Frost or other personifications of weather. ”Mörksuggan” or ”Morksuggan” is a more wildly spread bogey from Dalarna.
