Description

When we dream, some parts of our body shut down. Paralyzed we travel into ourselves. If this weren’t the case, we would physically run away from danger in bed. We would scream or talk, acting out our dreams. But our body fixed this. We can now dream still. The only movement being the flickering behind our eyelids. We see new lights in the dark. We process our reality with the unforgiving honesty that only dreams have.

But sometimes it goes wrong. Sometimes we wake up in the dream. Sometimes we dream while awake.

Hypnopompia is a short, experimental scenario about how dreams are created. It’s a story without beginning and end, a weave of dreams that you’ve previously had. It’s a limitless journey that make together, behind the eyelids of one of you.
