Description
In the information age, anyone can make billions. All you need is that one brilliant idea and the venture capital to make it happen. But not everyone can get that capital.
Do you have what it takes? If you want the money, it all comes down to _THE PITCH_.
_The Pitch_ is an American Freeform larp in three acts, exploring a realistic-yet-absurd premise in a dark, serious tone. In this larp, we'll take a cynical look at the idealism, politics, and capitalist pressures of startup culture. Players will form competing startups, try to impress a panel of venture capitalists, and then try to pick up the pieces.
The larp will involve in-game use of Google Slides, Slack, and Starbucks. Players will be expected to use smartphones or similar devices to chat on Slack during the game (if needed, GMs can provide devices). Players will also be using laptops (GM-provided) to make and present slide decks. Players will create their own characters during workshop using some structured prompts, and will maintain these roles throughout the game except during the second act, when a few will be selected (from amongst those not presenting) to play venture capitalists using short pre-written character sheets.
