Description
In the future there is no privacy. When you commit a crime it is Known. In the future everyone knows you are guilty. The question is, did you have a reason for what you did.
This game has 12 players. Six people who committed a crime. Six people to judge them.
The conscripted judges have time to interview each criminal and then to condemn them or declare their crimes justified.
Of course the selection of criminals and judges is not random and the connections and motives run deep on both sides.
We know you did it, but what was your Reason?
Players must be 18 years old or older.
Characters will be modified based on answers to a pre-game questionnaire. Players will not be selecting their crimes directly, I will be choosing them based on responses.
Half of the players in the game will be criminals, some of the crimes may be heinous depending on people's answers to the pre-game questionnaire.
Players will have a chance to list crimes that they are not willing to see in the game.
The purpose of this game is to pose a meaningful moral puzzle to all of the players. It is intended to challenge players and make them uncomfortable. It is not intended to trigger them or put them in situations they do not want.
In keeping with the fiction of the game players will know the facts of all the crimes before the start of the game. A full list of the crimes that will be in the game will be available long before the game is played so that players may decline to play if necessary. I will try to avoid that kind of situation by communicating with players during character creation.
This game is not about shock value or the exploitation of victims. However it will almost certainly deal with acts of violence and contain characters who have done harm to others. If that doesn't sound like something you want to be faced with then this is probably not the game for you.
