Description
As the excesses of the French Revolution reached their fever pitch and subsided, those who survived the Terror have taken to celebrating in a most morbid fashion; by holding parties honoring the Guillotine and its victims.
Tonight, you have been invited to attend one such gathering, hosted by the mysterious Comte de Rochefort, a noble who survived the Terror untouched. His parties are legendary for their debaucheries, wonders, and horrors, and tonight promises to be the grandest such ball he has ever held.
Your host requests guests to dress in the Marseilles style, a simplified Second Empire style, without elaborate skirts or jewelry that would mark one's class status. Culottes accepted for gentlemen, but not preferred. And nothing, but nothing, to be worn about the neck.
This is Call of Cthulhu inspired game of cosmic horror and madness. Character sheets are generally a page, including goals and interconnections with other characters. Goals are flexible to allow for player choices. Additional background sheets will be provided.
18+ or prior GM approval required as violence and horror are themes of the game.
