Description
_We are not Zombies, we are the Partially Deceased_ _Revived_ provides a safe space of mutual respect and non-judgment where Partially Deceased Syndrome patients can build community and support one another as they navigate the realities of everyday life. Join us for a free, safe, confidential drop-in group for PDS patients who are experiencing a challenging reintegration into society. Feel heard, valued, understood, nurtured and energized. At _Revived_ we acknowledge the enormous challenges that PDS patients can face in the world, whether it is at work, at home, or out in public. Our vision is to provide an opportunity for all PDS patients to engage in a Revived group that provides them with the support, education and community they need to flourish as they re-enter their previous lives. _Revived_ is a zombie LARP inspired by the BBC show _In the Flesh_. This larp centers on the zombies' perspective and the challenges of coming back from the dead, rather than a more traditional zombie larp where players are fighting or running from zombies. Players take on the role of rehabilitated zombies re-entering their previous lives. Characters will deal with the responses of their family and friends to their return, the prejudice they face from the general populace, and guilt over what they did in their “untreated” state. Trigger warnings: The subject matter will not be horribly dark but each character will deal with unique and challenging emotional issues including death, prejudice, and guilt. Some characters will have killed people in their "untreated" state. Age Restrictions: 18+ preferred, but mature teenagers can be added with GM permission.

Revived is a zombie LARP inspired by the BBC show In the Flesh. Character sheets are one page or less, and players may develop their characters and add to their history as they like, before and during the LARP.

Character Types: The LARP contains two kinds of characters: support group members, and support group leaders. In a full size run, there are 8 support group members, and two group leaders (one human, and one PDS). The group leader characters have their own motivations and backstories, but they make an out-of-game commitment to keep the support group running (also an in-character goal!) and to help keep play interesting. These characters are somewhere in between PC and NPC, and are called "counter-players" in Revived. Counter-Players have often been played by organizers. In this run, the GM (Laura) wants to give players the opportunity to be a counter-player without organizing the larp. Laura will handle running all pre-game communication, casting, printing, workshops, debrief, and physical set-up, and will be on hand at all times for whatever is needed.
Counter-Player responsibilities in this run: - Run support group, and make sure it continues running - Encourage relationships and tensions between the other players - Provide adversity for other players to engage with (for example, demonstrating naivete, prejudice, or privilege)
If no one is interested in being a counter-player, Laura will do so - but if this sounds interesting, please sign up!
