Description
Dockside Dogs was written as a one-shot scenario for the Call of Cthulhu tabletop RPG. But we are larping it.
Players take on the roles of well-dressed criminals that just pulled off a robbery and are waiting for the Big Boss to hand over the loot. Sounds easy, right? Odds are they won't live through the night.
This scenario was written by the same author as "Gatsby & the Great Race", Paul Fricker of the U.K.. It is, of course, an adaptation of the Quentin Tarantino movie "Reservoir Dogs." Watching that classic before playing is **HIGHLY RECOMMENDED** , but not required.
The characters will be white males, but players can be any gender/ethnicity.
Costuming = black suit jacket, black tie, white collared button shirt, black pants, black shoes. Sunglasses, black socks, black underwear optional. Don't get cute with tuxedo jackets or bow ties. Try to look like the dudes from the movie.
This is a Character vs. Character larp amongst self-centered criminals holding loaded guns. Chances of arguments, violence, and character death are high. If you think the movie was deadly and Call of Cthulhu is dangerous, just imagine the blood when you combine the two! This is an intense larp with a lot of anger, threats, (simulated) violence, possibly even scenes of torture (not of players). Plus it's Call of Cthulhu, supernatural horror. Crime and horror go together like corn syrup and red food coloring.
