Description
Siddhartha is based on Herman Hesse’s iconic novel about finding yourself. Following Siddhartha’s journey to find enlightenment, we go through three acts, corresponding to the hindu stages of being the student (brahmacharin), proprietor (grihastha) and recluse (vanaprastha). These main acts are mainly abstract and movement based.
Each act is introduced with a bridge where the players will play an ‘authentic relating’ game. These games are out of character, drawing on the player’s own experiences, and will inform the fictional character’s development in the in-character acts.
“My real self wanders elsewhere, far away, wanders on and on invisibly and has nothing to do with my life.”
