Välkommen till SAGA:s (Swedish Annual Game Design Awards) deltävling i Jönköping!

Ta med en spelbar prototyp och delta i en kreativ och inspirerande dag där designers testar varandras spel, ger feedback och tävlar om platser till den stora finalen.

Vad behöver jag göra innan jag kommer?
Som designer behöver du ha en spelbar prototyp av ett bräd- eller kortspel. Den behöver inte vara snygg – handgjorda komponenter går alldeles utmärkt – men spelet ska gå att spela.
Det går bra att delta som drop-in, men vi ser gärna att du anmäler dig i förväg så att vi kan planera bättre.

Vad förväntas av mig på plats?
Som deltagare förväntas du:
• Lära ut och spela ditt eget spel med andra deltagare
• Spela minst två andra deltagares prototyper
• Rangordna de spel du spelar – dessa röster avgör vilka som går vidare

Om du går vidare till final måste du också kunna närvara fysiskt på finalen som hålls på LinCon i Linköping under Kristi himmelsfärdshelgen.

De spel som går vidare kvalificerar sig till finalen på LinCon 2026 i Linköping, som hålls den 15–16 maj.
I finalen förväntas du närvara fysiskt, visa upp ditt spel och spela andras spel.

SAGA Qualifier Jönköping – Show and Test the Board Games of the Future!

Have you created your own board game? Would you like to showcase it, have it playtested, and get a chance to win a competition?
Welcome to the SAGA (Swedish Annual Game Design Awards) qualifier in Jönköping!

Bring a playable prototype and take part in a creative and inspiring day where designers play each other’s games, give feedback, and compete for spots in the grand final.

What do I need to do before coming?
As a designer, you need a playable prototype of a board or card game. It doesn’t have to look polished—handmade components are perfectly fine—but the game must be playable.
Drop-in participation is possible, but we encourage you to register in advance so we can plan accordingly.

What is expected of me on site?
As a participant, you are expected to:
• Teach and play your own game with other participants
• Play at least two other participants’ prototypes
• Rank the games you play—these votes determine which games advance

If you advance to the final, you must be able to attend in person. The final is held at LinCon in Linköping during the Ascension Day weekend.

The event is held at Kulturhuset in Jönköping.

When?

What happens after the event?
Games that advance qualify for the final at LinCon 2026 in Linköping, held on May 15–16.
At the final, you are expected to attend in person, showcase your game, and play other finalists’ games.
