Who’s a Pretty Bird? is a short live-action roleplaying game about escaped pet birds trying to survive in the wild.

Each player is a talking bird with a small vocabulary of human-taught phrases. You can repeat what you have learned, twist its meaning, combine it with gesture and movement, and try to make yourself understood by other birds who are doing the same.

The result is funny, physical, and sometimes unexpectedly tender. Birds want food, shelter, status, companionship, attention, freedom, and the dignity of being understood. But they have only fragments of borrowed human language with which to ask for what they need.

This is a good fit for larp nights, conventions, classrooms, workshops, and playful gatherings where people are open to embodiment, constraint, and absurdity.
