Once every decade the shifting dunes of the White Sands desert in New Mexico recede far enough to reveal the highest eaves of a mysterious tower long lost to time and the creeping desert sands. Long ago before the dunes and the desert engulfed. Long ago this was the eldritch fastness of Santiago Mojaro otherwise known as Santiago the Damned , a black magician and occult mystic of power and influence who had court the ear and favour of Hernan Cortez and travelled with him to take part in the expeditions that resulted in the conquest and fall of the Aztec Empire of Central America. Now the fabled tower is just remembered by a scant few scholars, historians and would be treasure seekers as the final resting place of the fabled Aztec jewell known as the fabled Jade Jaguar, this artifact bis rumoured to bring doom upon all who dare to possess it.

Tonight a red moon fills the sky and casts its light over the white sand making them look like a shifting sea of blood. The time is nigh and the sands have aready begun to recede. Would be treasure seekers have only eight short hours to explore the tower before the edifice is covered again by the sands of time for a further decade. The fabled Jade Jaguar can be theirs for the taking if they can survive the Jaguar's curse.
