Beskrivning
In the Year of our Lady, Eight Hundred and Fifty-Six, four knights and two clerics set forth, armed with steel and steam, to the Eurley Coast. Sent by the Queen and sworn to secrecy, it was the hope of their Captain to enter the small hamlet of Weyland under the cover of night, quietly conduct their investigation, and leave before any knew they were there.
Such things rarely go as planned.
Ship of Fools is a Tudor-Punk, facilitated-narrative LARP about the tragedy of modernity. What that means is...
... Tudor-Punk is an imagining of the steam-punk style in a Shakespearean setting... imagine Elizabethan era costumes with all those steampunk anachronisms you love. ... facilitated-narrative means that events will occur during the event to which participants will have the opportunity to react: while this game has significant Nordic elements, it still has a plot. ... the tragedy of modernity means that to have progress, and gain all the marvels of the modern age, one also has to sacrifice. Nothing in this world is free.
Players can expect a four hour facilitated narrative. They will begin play as either visiting knights in service of the Queen, or common patrons of the Troll and Dragon Inn, who find their rather mundane lives interrupted by the arrival of said knights. But a storm is brewing, and soon the lot of them will have to contend with what the tempest tosses on their doorstep.
Previously run on the West Coast and for private audiences, Ship of Fools promises four hours high drama, high intrigue, and high adventure with a Shakespeare-inspired cast of characters. The event will include a forty-minute workshop prior to actual play. Combat resolved through player consent or GM decision. Character death may occur within the second half of the event.
