Welcome to the PoRtaL 8 Conference!

Can games change the world? How can we use them better for learning, connecting with other people, creating innovative products in culture and tourism, creative use of new technologies…?

These are just some of the questions we are about to answer during the eighth International conference on live action role-playing games PoRtaL, which will be held March 5-8, 2020 in Zagreb, Croatia.

Role-playing games in Europe and the world are becoming increasingly accepted as a classroom tool, an innovative form of team-building, networking and initiative, tourist attraction, a form of artistic expression and a platform for critical reflection and questioning of various aspects of the community.

They are used in working with children with special needs, training employees, expanding existing and creating a completely unique products for tourism, revitalizing castles and other objects of historical and cultural importance…

And they are already knocking on the doors of established entertainment industries such as amusement parks and Hollywood.

It is not a question of whether it will transform education, employee training and tourism, but how quickly it will happen. So join us and find out more.
