Som i sidder på hver jeres side af floden af Diesel – det eneste i eksistere for – er det helt afgørende, at blive den første til at få kontrol over den. Vinderen kan fortsætte. Taberen termineres.
Kast Diesel Terningerne i din modstanders dice tower, og imens de tager deres tur, ruller du din Blitz Terning så mange gange du kan, for at opnå fordel… indtil din modstander ender deres tur, ved at kaste Diesel terningerne i dit dice tower. Da skal du med det samme stoppe med at rulle din Blitz Terning og tage din egen tur – imens din modstander ruller deres Blitz Terning…
Tiden står aldrig stille i DIESEL. Du må finde din egen rytme og balance imellem at tage dig tid, og at tage de rette beslutninger. Jo længere tid du tager, jo større fordel kan din modstander få, men jo smartere bliver dit næste træk. Ikke? Eller måske ikke. Tiden er tight. Spild den ikke.

Mit mål var at skabe et spil, som ville føles som en blanding mellem noget i stil med Stratego og bordfoldbold. Noget der er intenst, men ikke full on hæsblæsende. Kom og se om jeg er lykkedes med det.

Presentation
As each of you sit across the river of Diesel, the only true thing you exist for, it is vital to be the first to gain control over it. The winner will go on. The loser will terminate.
Throw the Diesel Dice in your opponent's dice tower, and while they have their turn, roll your solitary Blitz Die as many times as you can to gain advantage... before your opponent ends their turn and chucks the Diesel Dice into your dice tower. Then you must immediately stop rolling your Blitz Die and take your turn - while your opponent now rolls their Blitz Die...
Time never stands still in Diesel. You have to find your rhythm and a balance between taking your time and making the right decisions. The longer you take, the bigger advantage your opponent gets, but the smarter you move will be. Right? Or maybe not. Time is tight. Don’t waste it.

My goal was to create a game that would feel like a mix between something like Stratego and Table Soccer, delivering an intense, but not outright frenetic experience. Come and see if I have succeeded or not.

DIESEL is a fast-paced game set in a world where humanity has almost wiped out all life, and the last two AIs are fighting for the only remaining energy source: diesel. The theme perfectly complements the individual game elements and even the metal music is designed to create the perfect feeling that this is the end. Through asynchronous turns, players switch between the Blitz phase (where they desperately throw their dice through the dice tower, hoping for another 1 or 6) and the Diesel phase (where their opponent buys cards and refills their precious black drops). It adds extra stress that it is always your opponent who decides which phase you are in.
