Wulbert and Peryon Flashfingers have been chased out of every major municipality that graces the banks of the River Scaum; and in a gesture of truly democratic benevolence, they have been pursued by pitchfork wielding mobs from the humblest hamlets where the cultivation of the bland snorfroot and the tasteless but pretty magenta cabbage are the only form of culture known. Indeed, the brothers have aroused such animosity throughout the region it seemed they were not even wanted, dead or alive. No bounty is posted for their heads — their violent slaughter is simply considered a civic duty, to be conducted in the spirit of necessary work.

This may be about to change, since the larcenous and glib tongued brothers have just left Kaiin having abducted Amethyst and Jade, two daughters of a most prominent, uxorious and unforgiving burgher, whose chaste innocence has been a source of great pride to their father even as he calculates the profit their beauty can bring when he finally contracts favorable marriages.
