Véletlen Találkozások
Om kongres-serien
Véletlen Találkozások (Random encounters) was a small but influential Hungarian convention from 2010 to 2013 that established the game-on-demand con format in contrast of the dominant adventure tournament style in Hungary.
Originally an 'oldschool RPG mustering' influenced by SoCal Mini-Con that showcased the unfolding Hungarian practice of oldschool role-playing, Véletlen Találkozások gradually turned into an alternative con featuring underrepresented OSR, Indie and Story Games.

Trivia
- Its logo was the ouroboros with the motto of 'Sacrifice yourself and grow!' from the Rigveda
- A special community feature of the con was that there was no entry fee. With the exception of the GMs, all participants had to decide whether to bring a fantasy novel or RPG book to swap, or to pitch in to fund everyone's communal pizza.
- After the 3rd occasion, the con website moved to LFG.HU, but that homepage is now lost.
- The venue was always the dormitories of Eötvös Loránd University, where the main organizer lived. After the closure of the temporary dormitory in the Griff Hotel, the venue moved to the Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Dormitory.
- Its assistant organizers continued and 'advanced' the VT tradition with Kalandorok Társasága (Company of adventurers).
