I Noetico skal du og dine venner sammen kontrollere en enkelt kriger. En kriger besat af ånder. I skal lægge jeres hoveder sammen – bogstavelig talt – men uden at snakke sammen! Vil dine venner forpurre din fabelagtige plan? Kan du håndtere det når deres valg modstrider dine? Kun ved at sætte dit ego til side kan I vinde sammen.

Foromtale
Noetico er et kooperativt brætspil til 3 personer. Spillerne kontrollerer tilsammen en enkelt kriger uden at kommunikere. Så hver spiller skal konstant re-evaluere deres egen strategi, når deres venner laver uforudsete handlinger.

Spillet spilles på et hexagonalt bræt, hvor krigeren kan navigere og bekæmpe fjender. Nogle felter er unikke og ændrer hvordan de kan navigeres og disse felter er sammensat for at lave banen spillerne skal spille på.

Hver runde skal spillerne på tur vælge hvilke handlinger (bevægelse, slå, evne) som skal blive udført i den runde. Når 3 handlinger er valgt, skal spillerne på tur udføre de handlinger. Man må gerne udføre en handling, man ikke selv har valgt.

Krigeren som spillerne kontrollerer er besat af én af fire ånder. Hver ånd har en unik evne. Når en spiller udfører en evne handling, skal de udføre den evne af den ånd som krigeren er besat af. Derefter vælger spilleren en ny ånd som skal besætte krigeren. Derved ændres hvilken evne som spillerne har adgang til.

I slutningen af runden vil fjenderne på brættet bevæge sig, og et event kort vil blive trukket, som giver et element af uforudsigelighed.

Noetico er et kaotisk samarbejdsspil hvor hver spiller laver planer som så skal forkastes når deres medspillere laver handlinger som de ikke havde forudset. Det er ikke et puslespil. Det handler ikke om at udføre den bedste plan. Det handler om at reagere på dine medspilleres handlinger og om at spille som et hold.

In Noetico, the players are cooperatively controlling the same warrior. A human that has been possessed by spirits. While you control the same person on the board, you can’t communicate. Will your friends thwart your masterful plan? And are you able to put your own plan aside and accommodate the unpredictable actions of your friends?

Presentation
Noetico is a three-person cooperative game where each player will move and perform actions together as a single warrior. The players control the same warrior, who is possessed by spirits, but they can’t communicate outside of performing actions in the game. So each player will have to constantly re-evaluate their plan as they take into account new actions of their friends.

The game takes place on a hexagonal board, where the player character can move around and fight enemies. This board has environmental tiles which changes how those tiles can be navigated and serves to create variety in maps.

During a single round, each player takes turns committing one kind of action (move, attack, or ability). Once 3 actions have been committed in total, they will take turns performing these actions in any order. A player may choose to perform an action that they didn’t commit.

The warrior that the players control is possessed by one of 4 spirits. Each spirit has a unique ability. When a player performs an ability action, they will perform the ability of the spirit that the warrior is currently possessed by. After performing said ability, they will choose a new spirit to possess the warrior, which in turn will change the ability available to perform.

At the end of the round enemies will perform actions and event cards will be drawn to create an element of unpredictability. The players only have a single life so if they get hit it’s game over.

Noetico is a chaotic, fully cooperative boardgame, where players need to formulate plans each round only then to discard them immediately when their friends make an unpredictable move. It’s not a puzzle game, it’s not about finding the perfect solution to every problem. It’s about reacting to your friends’ gameplay and playing as a team.
