Croak and Dagger

System: Obscure Tales

Beschreibung

The Silvermist Marsh is known to be a very dangerous place. Treacherous paths, giant spiders and
haunted ruins left over from the old empire, not to mention marsh goblins and the Croakars – frog-
like humanoids of immense strength and low cunning. Raids from these have always been threat to
the villages alongside the marsh and despite regular patrols, it was always hard to stop a band
slipping away with some livestock. Of late however, theft has turned to kidnapping. Lord Oswin has
ever been vigorous in the defence of his people. As he assembles his warband, a brave force of
volunteers have been sent ahead to track the raiders to their lair and mark out a trail.
You might be:
- a wily veteran of many battles, sent to keep the party level-headed
- one of the mightiest huscarls, whose mail hauberk and fearsome rage shrug off blows that
would kill a lesser warrior
- a hearth warden, drawing mana from the leylines beneath the Hall of the Warmest Hearth
to work spells of pyromancy and life-binding
- an apprentice squire, sent to learn the arts of both war and magic, desperate to prove
themselves worthy of their noble lineage
- a skinwalker, follower of the moon goddess Athys, able to take the form of an owl
- a bright-eyed youth, fresh off the farm, annoyingly athletic and full of energy
