A Crucible: Dark Age scenario for five nobles
The King is dead, slain by treachery and poison. His elder son is takes after his father; a capable successor, if a surly and impious young man. His younger son is an erudite boy well-liked by the Church, but untested in battle or diplomacy. A civil war looms - if the murderer cannot be found and a successor determined, the kingdom will crumble.
Your family have been the guardians of the royal line since the Unification, and it is up to you to wipe this stain from your service.
