The Labyrinth of the Goblin King

In a previous age, Loki, God of Mischief, was summoned by Goblin King Jareth to create a maze of terrifying dangers and confusing twists and turns to protect the Goblin King’s wealth. Loki obliged, creating a monstrous walled construction that some say continues to grow and change to this day. In the center, of course, lay the Goblin King himself, forever trapped in his own maze yet forever protected from even Death.

Today, the Labyrinth lies within the borders of the Kingdom of Gilder, and King Haggard has kidnapped the daughter of his rival, imprisoning her within the Labyrinth of the Goblin King until such time as she consents to marry him. Good King Wenceslas of Florin has offered a huge reward to anyone who can rescue his beloved daughter and only child, Princess Adryn.

Many have entered the Labyrinth, but few have survived to tell the tale. For those that do, a temple dedicated to Loki’s mischief lies not far from the Labyrinth’s entrance, to record their tales and resurrect their worthy dead.

Your party of adventurers has dared the Labyrinth, but one of your members has fallen! You bring their body to the temple, but there are others there waiting for resurrection, and the priest(ess) has only enough mana for one of you! You must convince the Priest(ess) that your party member is most worthy by telling the best tale!

Resurrect Me, Please! is a storytelling game, where each party must tell their story, playing up the danger, the daring-do, the heroics of their fallen ally in an attempt to convince the priest(ess) that theirs is the best corpse to resurrect.
