- **Genres:** Science Fiction, Mystery. (While the tone is light-hearted, this is not a comedy.) - **Packet Complexity:** Nine pages: 1 page cast list, 2 page background, 3 page rules, 3 page character sheet, combat cards. - **Content Warnings:** No sexual content. "TV cop show" level violence.
It was a banner year for INTERGALPOL. Never before had there been so many promising recruits from throughout time and space. Never before had there been so many spectacular victories, so many archvillains incarcerated once and for all on the inescapable prison planet of Sartre. Most people credited the Chief, a mysterious figure no one's ever seen but who always seems to dispatch exactly the right squad to solve any problem.
Operatives, administrators, allies and even favorite informants have come across the dimensional barriers to congregate here at INTERGALPOL Headquarters, San Francisco, Earth, 2219, for the national convention. Detectives and action heroes from a thousand alternate worlds, all united in celebration.
It's just one of those eternal verities: get enough famous cops in one place and somebody'll go ahead and commit a crime for them to solve. And this one's a _doozy_.
Intergalactic Criminal Police Organization Annual Convention _is a call-your-character game with a variable cast. INTERGALPOL recruits from all technologically-advanced societies in all dimensions. Players will be able to request characters they want to play within certain limitations and be slotted into specific roles in the storyline._
_Because of this structure, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that players get their requests in immediately upon registration. Players who have not had a request approved by the deadline (one month before con) or who sign up after deadline will have characters assigned at the GMs' discretion._
The basic requirements for an _INTERGALPOL Annual Convention_ character are:
- Must be drawn from a published book, movie, television program, radio program or video game - Must be drawn from a source that is generally available (since the writers will need access to it!) - Must be from a post-industrial background (Victorian Age through far future) - Must possess reasonable levels of power (no gods or nigh-omnipotent heroes, please) - Must be a plausible attendee at the INTERGALPOL convention
Police officers, detectives, government officials (any government), superheroes and mercenaries are all automatically plausible attendees. Action heroes of any kind who could be hired by INTERGALPOL are probably plausible. Criminals are acceptable, but with the understanding that they are informants working with INTERGALPOL (not necessarily willingly).
Complete information, background information and more in-depth request suggestions will be provided on sign-up.
