Description

A story of love and loss, Wait For Me is a re-telling of the myths of Orpheus, Eurydice, Hades, and Persephone based on the musical Hadestown. It explores the conversations leading up to Hades’ decision to let Orpheus and Eurydice go.

Eurydice is a hungry young girl, in love with Orpheus, the son of a muse. Hades is king of the underworld, and although Persephone spends half of each year with him, her time is consumed by her love of wine and morphine. What will happen when all four come together for only an hour? What memories will be unearthed, and what decisions will be made?

Participant communications
Communication will be over email. Casting forms will be sent out ahead of time, as well as character sheets. Reading is about 6 pages before game and another 2-ish pages worth of contingencies during game.

Content warnings
Alludes to one character being coerced by another character, although it is not discussed in detail and is deliberately kept very vague. Also deals with themes of memory loss, obsession, drug use, self-medication turning into substance abuse, suicide, self-harm, and themes that may relate closely to slavery, if you squint.
