Connacht Sentinel, 15 May 1953.
After the recent robbery of Riordans Books, Gardai have issues another appeal for witnesses in the area of Domininc Street on the Sunday the 11th of May who may have noticed any suspicious persons. The robbery comes just a fortnight after the break-in at University College James Hardiman Library where a text and preserved artifact weapon from the archaelogy department restricted section. Gardai are unsure if the two cases are linked but are pursuing avenues of enquiry.
